Reaching Towards Strength
Establishing a New Paradigm for Asian and Pacific Islander Health
May 18, 2018 - Participated on a panel discussion organized by the National Minority AIDS Council (NMAC) in conjunction with the Congressional Asian Pacific American Caucus. Ideas for incorporating biomedical HIV prevention methods and policy recommendations to address the barriers faced by Asian and Pacific Islanders were presented to congressional staff members.
Other panelists included Matthew Rose ( Policy and Advocacy Manger, NMAC), Peter Cruz (Associate Director of the HIV and Health Equity Program, Human Rights Campaign), Ben D’Avanzo (Senior Policy Analyst, Asian and Pacific Islander American Health Forum), and Melanie Dulfo (Director of Community Health Education, Apicha Community Health Center).

Storytelling for Community Health Centers
October 24th, 2017 - Participated on a panel discussion at the 2017 Community Health Center Association of New York State (CHCANYS) Statewide Conference & Clinical Forum. Participants, including health center leadership, were introduced to a framework for story-telling which will support them to articulate their organization's values.
Other panelists included Natalie Finstad ( Executive Director/Co-Founder, Tatua), William Nazareth (Director of Creative Media, Callen-Lorde Community Health Center), and Hope Glassberg (Senior Vice President of Strategy and Government Affairs, HRHCare Community Health).
Providing PrEP/PEP to Minorities
An Agency-wide Effort
September 7, 2017 - Participated in a group presentation at the United States Conference on AIDS. Participants were introduced to a PrEP/PEP program method that integrated digital health education/recruitment strategy, services to address social determinants of health, and comprehensive care management services that together navigate and retain high-risk HIV-negative members of minority communities to PrEP/PEP services.
Other presenters included Melanie Dulfo (Director of Community Health Education, Apicha Community Health Center) and Timothy Au (Program Manager for Support Services, Apicha Community Health Center).
